Ahadi, Zawadi, and Baraka are three adventurous friends from Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya. When they discover a mysterious paper in their neighborhood, they take off on a quest for hidden treasure. Join them on their journey through the sights and essence of their community, leading them - and the readers - to a wonderful surprise.
Authored by Fabiano Lumbumba, a Kibera resident, illustrated by Murrel Aluoch, an artist with the Uweza Art Gallery, and curated by best-selling Kenyan author Melissa Wakhu, the book is celebration of this beautiful community. We hope to inspire children to dream, believe, and discover the hidden gems in their world, see themselves, and know that anything is possible.
